Meet Our Counseling Team

Kristen Pepera, She/Her/Hers (on left) LPCC, M.Ed. is a licensed professional clinical counselor. She attended Ashland University for her undergraduate degree in psychology and graduated in 2008. Kristen earned her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Kent State University in 2011. Kristen is passionate about helping and working with people of all ages, but particularly loves working with the LGBTQ+ population. She strives to walk with others and help them in any way that she can and is inspired by great thinkers such as Carl Rogers. “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner. I don’t try to control the sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” -Carl Rogers

Lisa Pepera, She/Her/Hers (on right) LPCC-S, M.Ed. is a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor. She graduated from John Carroll University with an undergraduate degree in 2008. She completed a graduate program with Kent State University in 2011 with a degree in clinical mental health counseling. Lisa has been working in both residential and outpatient settings with community based mental health agencies since 2012. Lisa is a Fairview Park native, she has a passion for helping others around her and enjoys spending time outdoors and with family. She is motivated by the following quote: “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.

Jack Meehan (He/Him/His) has been working in mental health services since graduating from Bowling Green in 2016 with a Bachelors’s in Human Development and Family Studies. He started his career at Bellefaire JCB in the Monarch Boarding Academy for Autism. He then went on to start his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in the fall of 2019. He completed his practicum experience at Moore Counseling and Mediation Services where he did individual and group counseling. Outside of school and his internship he is a Case Manager at a group home for adults on the Autism Spectrum and enjoys playing music and rock climbing. 

Tina (She/Her/Hers, mom) is a licensed independent social worker, LISW-S. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelors of Social Work and obtained her Masters of Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2003. Tina has a great deal of experience working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. She feels passionately about the process of working with clients to clarify personal goals and then providing the support, education and encouragement needed for clients to realize their goals. Tina lives in Fairview Park with her husband, and their 2 children as well as 1 cat, 1 dog and 1 fish.

Heather Koeka (She/Her/Hers) has been a licensed social worker since 2009. Heather started her career with Guidestone doing community therapy and outreach. In 2012, she continued to diversify her social work career at Applewood Centers working as a group therapist specializing in DBT and CBT.  During her career at Applewood she co-wrote and founded the “Daisy House for Girls” Intensive Day treatment program that serviced human trafficked survivors. Heather is dedicated to helping her clients heal from stressors and trauma. She has a passion for helping her clients find their strengths and achieve inner peace.
